    • When I first started this book I knew, based on the description, I was in for a wild ride with a cast of real characters. As the page count climbed, I was concerned that I would not be able to keep up with the author's pace or increasing cast list. I held on real right and kept reading and it all started to come together. This is Pulp Fiction on steroids with an acid tab chaser. There is insanity on every page and every page is a good time. Twists and turns, and some of the most creative ho [...]

    • Serge Storm has mental health issues that can be controlled by medications should he choose to take them which he mostly doesn't. He has a vast store of knowledge about Florida that he intends to share with Coleman his drug addled incompetent sidekick and Sharon a coke snorting, murdering stripper. There are also Sean and David who inadvertently get tangled up in an insurance fraud case. A sexually twisted dentist and politician. A real estate scammer and of course a bunch of drug runners and dru [...]

    • Hilarious, laugh out loud, cleverl in a somewhat sick way as the violence is many times extreme, and random. The oddball, maniacal, genius and moronic are all well represented, with wonderful turns of irony and humorous coincidence throughout the plot. As a Floridian (new), I especially like all the detailed references to Florida locales and history, but that is secondary to the crazy characters and their mostly bizarre events and actions.

    • Yet another wild romp starring our favorite Genius Sociopath, Serge & his Consummate Abuser-of-All-Things-Mind-Altering side-kick Coleman! Tim Dorsey does the incredibly difficult task of writing about the insanity and weirdness of Florida as well as master writer/author Carl Hiassen does in his books about Florida & that States loony residents - which is no small feat.

    • This book was recommended by a friend, who reads a LOT. It starts a bit quirky; but one Serge arrives on the scene. is one heal of a roller coaster ride. I kept laughing out loud. The characters become so compelling that they have resulted in a series of books; all well received by critics.Folks in Florida might not like this so much, unless they have a great sense of humor about the residents in their own state. But the author is a Tampa-based newspaper writer, and the situations he develops a [...]
