Oh no, not another one : )

Just thought I would be polite and say hello, having been bitten by the Chipmunk bug this week. I know a couple of you on here from another place, but look forward to finding out lots more about the art of chippying (is there such a word?) over the coming months.

Hope you guys (and girls) don't mind the odd stupid question as I progress through the conversion.

A bit of background - after years of wishing and putting off I finally passed my PPL 2 years ago. Up until this week I have tended to fly spam cans (the usual mix of Tomahawk, Warrior, Archer, Arrow, Cessna 152) and (sorry but I can't refer to this as a spam can) have around 8 hours in Bulldogs and an hour in the Extra (though all airborne and not in the circuit).

I seem to have become a little addicted to the joy of flight (is there a Kama Sutra equivalent for flying?) and took the plunge of doing my tailwheel conversion on the chipmunk a couple of days ago.

After 1.3 hours I am hooked   :D  8)

Hi Andy!

A very warm welcome and it is fantastic to have you on board!

We look forward to hearing about your experiences during your conversion (and beyond), and it seems you have already found out that the Chipmunk is highly addictive!!

I hope we see some posts of the same quality you have already popped on the Flyer forum....they just capture the whole experience so well!

Cheers for now!

Hi all,

Just to say hi from me as well as I've also now been tempted over to the dark side (aeros, tailwheels and chippies).

Intending to complete my chippie conversion here in Jersey.

Also looks like a recognise a few names from another forum :)
