'ello Delboy. There is currently no Chipmunk flying anywhere in IAC colours, I'm pretty sure of that and none of the IAC machines have 'yet' made it into the civilian flying world. I'm pretty sure they need at least one major mod before any of them can fly again, not sure what it is though....

I'll add my list of Chippies based in the Netherlands :

WB671/G-BWTG. Owned by "Stichting Chipmunk-4-ever" and share-based flown. In full grey/red RN colour scheme with code 910. See http://www.chipmunk4ever.nl for additional info in Dutch. It is airworthy (although in maintenance for a couple of months at the moment, but should be ready for the Chipmeet this year) and flown out of Teuge.

WP835/D-ERTY. Privately owned. In full metallic RAF colour scheme with colourful unit markings (Bristol UAS I think), coded 'N'. It is airworthy and based at Teuge.

WP851/PH-ZWA. Privately owned. It's the only Chipmunk in the Dutch register. In Red/White/Metallic RAF colour scheme. It is airworthy and based in Rotterdam, though it's only rarely seen flying.

WP924/G-BBMX. Privately owned. In RAF Red/White/Metallic colour scheme with yellow bands on the wings, coded '17'. It is airworthy as far as I know and based in Hoogeveen.

WP925/G-BXHA. Privately owned. In Army colour scheme, coded 'C'. Airworthy and stationed in Hilversum.

I have the individual names of the owners, but I'm not sure if I should print them here. Please send a PM if you're interested.

Thanks Herbert, records updated. Didn't know the German registration of WP835 for a start. I'm currently going through my Chippie records to get them upto date ready for the summer. I will be doing a list of mainland Europe in due course and also Australia, New Zealand and South Africa if nobody gets upset. I know what you mean about the names of the owners but as all the details are available in the public domain in this country via books and the web I thought I'd give it a go and see if anybody complains....

And on with the Belgians, though I'm not sure if this list is complete:

WG321/G-DHCC. Privately owned. In Army colour scheme, coded 'G'. Airworthy and based in Antwerpen/Deurne (I think).

WG401/OO-FFT. Not sure if this one is still in existence, let alone airworthy or where it is based. Might have been gone a long time ago already.

WK590/G-BWVZ. Privately owned, airworthy and based in Grimbergen. In RAF Red/White/Metallic colour scheme, coded '69'.

1304/G-HDAE. Privately owned and supposedly based in Schaffen-Diest. Airworthy. In Portuguese Air Force markings and colours, but small serial on the tail and big (shark?)mouth on the engine cover. DGH, note that this one is on your list as well. Confusing, eh?

G-AOJR. Privately owned, based in Spa - La sauvenière. Colour scheme is mainly black with some red outlines and serial. Airworthy.

I'd be glad to see some updates on this as well.

G-HDAE is a tough one. She used to be based at Spanhoe but was reported as moving on. I was told that she now flies from Wroughton and certainly she is registered to an owner not a million miles away but that doesn't mean anything in this game! Certainly all the recent photo's I can find of her have been taken in Europe, perhaps someone else can help us out?

As for WG401 my records are probably as old as yours but she should be with the same owners as WG321. Maybe she's tucked away in the back of a shed somewhere?

Your info on WG401 is indeed interesting, as I know who the owner is of WG321 and had already read somewhere that he was supposed to be the owner of a second Chipmunk as well. Since I'll meet him later this week I'll ask him what the status is of the second one.

Keep this stuff coming! I'd be very pleased if we can make a complete list of all European Chipmunks in this way, and am happy to help out where I can.

Some loose ends (mostly taken from "Military Aircraft Markings 2004", so might not be completely up-to-date):

Canadian Chipmunks:
18013/G-TRIC, The Shuttleworth Collection, Old Warden. Coded '013'. Serial seems fake.
18671/G-BNZC. Privately owned, Wombleton. Fake serial, ex WP905.
If I'm right, one of the above two has gone by now.

Irish Chipmunks:
168. According to above mentioned book it's operated by No 1 Operations Wing, Baldonnel. It can't be operational though, so I suppose it is either used as an instructional airframe or being restored by the wing. Is this the machine Declan hints about?

Portuguese Chipmunks:
1365, details as above and based in Spanhoe Lodge.
1372/HB-TUM. Full PAF markings. Based in Lausanne-Blécherette, Switserland. Its homepage is http://www.ampa.ch/avion_dhc1.htm.
1377/G-BARS. Privately owned, Yeovilton. Fake serial.
