On special request, a picture of 168, one of the Chipmunks of the Irish Air Corps. This photograph was taken at Gormanston in 1990, whilst this Chipmunk T20 (c/n C1/0464) can now be found at Baldonnel (in storage).

P.S. Declan, you are right about the dayglow/orange surfaces. But it was 15 years ago...

Thank you for posting the pic. 168 looks a bit sorry for itself in this photo. I Believe the centre section tie-bar mod was not completed on this airframe so although it is low hours it has no fatique life left.Hmmmm, we shall see what the future holds..... :wink:

With a whole load of TLC, she would look great, especially next to WD305 on a sunny day!!
