If anyone can give an idiots guide to posting pictures, I have some atmospheric but otherwise amateurish 2meg jpegs and a couple of short video clips taken from WG407 (white 67) on Saturday.
Thanks all for a fantastic day from this formation novice, and especially to Graham E for doing the hard work from the back seat.

Great pics, thanks for sharing them, the weather didn't look like it was being very helpful though. typical for such occasions.

all the best.

Glad you enjoyed it Stewart!..as its the 60th anniversary how impressive would a 60 ship be! Although it took months for us to all be available for this one and 10 groups of six could be a bit scary!!!

 Here are 3 from Keith,

Thanks Bob and Stewart for sharing your photo's. That must have been some sight and sound, judging by were the aircraft are based and looking at the countryside I dare say it was quite close to me as well. Think if I'd been driving and seen them in the sky I could be looking at an insurance quote now!

Nice! A bit of Chippie flying, a bit of picture taking, I can think of worse ways to spend the weekend :D

Well, two more weeks till Perth, three till Leicester and four till Chipmeet. The Chippie hunting season has started  8)

The last formation shot leaves me puzzled though. Can you do this kind of head on shots from a Yak 52 without being proficient in yoga (supposing Keith isn't)?

Keith and I first discussed these picture ideas at the end of last year,it took until the end of April to get everyone in the the right place at the right time,
I had to swp flights and do the 0600 Alicante then get to the strip and fly up to Conington for the briefing and straight into the shoot.
Few of us had flown together before but I think the day was succesful!
Keith sits in the rear of the Yak and Tim then flew across the formation to get the head-on shots..
Thanks to all involved, sadly due to a major crewing c*ckup I wont be at Leicester...(I'll be in Mombasa) but should make some of the other dates.Hopefully G-BBMT will be there with one of my co owners! :?

Ah, that's how it's done. I wouldn't expect that to be a feasible technique, but it seems to work out pretty good. Well done and thanks for the "technology update"  :thumbright:

Cheers,
