Topic: Needed, 4 Pairs of Motor Mount Rubbers...

Help Chipmunk affectionotos.  I am in desperate need of all 4 pairs of Motor Mounts.  I had the Gipsy Major running for the first time in years, only to find out that after 15 minutes of running at an Idle, the motor mounts are DISCETEGRATING...  Not just sagging, but they are coming apart by the CHUNKS.  I am in the process of finding new ones, but will certainly settle for servicable used ones.  Any assistance you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

If you are talking about the engine mounting rubbers, Light Aero Spares sell them; from memory, the front and rear ones are different. According to my parts catalogue, the part nos are C1-EM39A and C1-EM40A.  I have found on one aircraft that because the rubber mount had failed and the engine had been run for a while, the aluminium bearer on the engine had come into contact with the through bolt and had fretted.

I'm told they usually last about 600hrs in regular use.

qe45,  What are the chances that you also have  the C1-E557.  Are these a Spacer with a Rubber oblonged shape to them?
