Fuses

Can anyone recommend a supplier for replacement electrical fuses?

Do not take them to bits.  Drill a small hole in each end to unsolder the existing wire ,   and solder in a new wire of the desired rating.

That's what I meant, Some of ours fell to bits so was easier to drill the holes then reassemble. :oops:

The drill out and replace the fuse link trick worked just fine.

I did look at LAS, but they seem to sell a longer and thinner fuse than the originals in my Chipmunk, but perhaps these fit just fine in the fuse holders as the spring is quite strong?

they fit correctly into the fusebox and the springs are strong enough so that it does require positive effort to remove them.
my fuse box was new however, and had not had other (fatter) fuses fitted to it.

Having looked again at the LAS web site I spotted they have "British S type fuses as fitted to Chipmunk etc".

Thanks Bob.   I found that AGW style fuse fit.   They're a hair narrower but the same length.   I was also able to order some original fuses.   They're kind of pricey at $7.50 each.
