Hi

Have there been any new members to this forum in the past year?  I have a friend who tried to join many months ago and got no reply to his request.

Is there a technical issue?

Thanks guys.

Janie, I joined in the last few months as well.  This is a  great venue for extracting Chipmunk information, but I have to agree it is not frequented like the Supercub.org Website.
Thanks, and I hope to have N22DH ready for the trip from Wichita to Oshkosh.

A very nice puff for the chipmunk, it looks super in Canadian colours and I love the bubble canopy.  I am concerned at the bit in the article talking about pumping the brakes.  Provided that they are set up right, if you need  help on taxiing, then you apply one or two notches of brake when you set off and the appropriate wheel brake comes on as you push the rudder.  Pumping the brakes on and off as you go along is a recipe for excessive wear and tear and a possible nose over- especially if you have the efficient Cleveland brakes rather than the original Dunlop.

I've just joined the site having been introduced to the joys of Chipmunks a while ago. I'm currently being converted onto the mighty Chippie by an experienced instructor.

With low hours and having trained in spamcans I know it's going to take a few hours to get signed off.  But I'm loving every minute of it and every flight is to be savoured.

What a fantastic aircraft! I'm smitten.  8-)

Once you have mastered the three-handed taxiing technique it gets easier Griff!

Hi

I'm relatively old in aviation, but very "young" in the Chipmunk and the world of tailwheel flying.

Royal Danish Air Force (F-16) 1984 - 1997

Major Scandinavian Airline (MD-80) 1997 - to present. (For money)

Flying out of EKYT Aalborg in OY-DHJ (C1-0470) ex G-AMMA painted in the colors or RCAF. (For fun)

Welcome Steen,

There are a few of us on here that are/have been in the airlines and get our fix of "proper" flying in the Chipmunk and other things.

Any questions can usually be answered!

Hi there,

I sent a request about 2-3 weeks ago to join this forum and I only recieved the confirmation yesterday. I'm not sure about the technical problem. Maybe someone just missed the request?....
