"Jump John Jump"

Do I have the name of the training film correct?  I have often heard old cadets talk fondly about the film with a sigh.

I would like to get hold of a copy and, if it has not already been done, copy it onto a disc so that it can be shown at the 65th Anniversary fly in on 22 May 2011 at Panshanger.

Can anyone help?  I will give the Imperial War Museum a call as I understand they have a large library of vintage military films.

Hi Carol,

The film that you refer to was the Chipmunk AEF flight briefing film, and starred one "Cadet John Andrews".  The immortal words "Jump Jump John" to which he dutifully replied "Jump Jump Sir!" will be embossed in the memories of all those who flew at RAF AEF's in the 80's and 90's!

The British Defence Film Library may hold an archived copy as it is they who issue the current raft of passenger briefing films for all military aircraft types.
