Paris Air Show

In case anyone is over in Paris, a Chipmunk is scheduled to be in the flight demonstrations on the public days of the Paris Air Show, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 24, 25 and 26 June. It is WP851 based in Chateauroux
 Villers. Its was redecorated last year in the orginal yellow band paint scheme.  Also scheduled are a Seafire and a Sea Fury, and a number of other historic/vintage aeroplanes, plus some modern stuff of course.

Is she painted silver?  It looks awfully like bare metal.  Surely not?

It is written 'de Havilland' - not De Havilland, DeHavilland, De-Havilland or de Haviland.  Spread the word.

I was wondering about that too.   It does look like polished aluminum.

Should the wing tips also be yellow?   I have the same scheme but my tips are silver.

The yellow wing tips, the matt black on the canopy and the polished aluminium are deviations from the scheme as on daigramme C1 G9. I've pointed it out to the team, but they want it that way.
The rest follows the diagrammes even to the stenciling of the operational markings. (and they gave me a complete set of stecils to calm me down!).

Err, not quite Nigel as I reckon the font of the serial is suspect, particularly the "1"...
