Caledonian Chipmunks Update
« on: Thursday January 01, 2009, 18:07:44 UTC »
Ladies and Gents,

A Happy New Year from the Caledonian Chipmunks team!

After 4 display seasons with a near 100% serviceibility record, it is time for the Caledonian Chipmunks WD305 and WP857 to receive some tender loving care over the coming year, and for us to invest in the future of these great aircraft.

As a result, both aircraft will be taken off line for this coming season while the aircraft have fabric replaced, are re-finishing and structures checked while the fabric is off.

We will still be working the display circuit with the YAK Pair, and subject to owner requirements and serviceability, Chipmunk WP860 and Nord 1101 G-BSMD/14.  Watch this space for details....

The forum will continue as normal and we thank you all for your support so far.

We wish you all a prosperous 2009 with blue skies and safe flying!

Hi Duncan and Declan,

The days are getting longer and we are now through Easter.
What news of a possible Caledonian Chipmunks get-togther at
Scone in May 2009 ?

Understand the Chippies are in moult getting new flight feathers
but what possibility of a gathering ? I haven't seen, smelt, touched
of flown in a Chipmunk in two years and am badly in need of a 'fix' .

Glad of any news or even an update on the re-fab progrgramme.

Best wishes to all

Keith Dunbar,
Achiltibuie
